The Food Rescue Partnership turned the biennial workshop into a webinar series for 2020. The series focused on current food rescue efforts in the Quad Cities, as well as how professional food establishments and retail food stores, event centers, caterers, and chefs can reduce food waste and add food rescue efforts into their operations.
A new feature to Food Rescue Partnership event was the announcement of the Quad Cities first-ever Food Rescue Warrior and Member of the Year. Member of the Year highlighted one of the FRP’s existing Members of Food Rescue program, which highlights local establishments’ food rescue efforts. The Food Rescue Warrior is a brand new program to the FRP and featured a live announcement congratulating one Quad Cities individual who has been nominated by their peers for their exceptional efforts.
