The Food Rescue Partnership is turning the biennial workshop into a webinar series for 2020. The series will focus on current food rescue efforts in the Quad Cities, as well as how professional food establishments and retail food stores, event centers, caterers, and chefs can reduce food waste and add food rescue efforts into their operations.
The first webinar in the series will take place at 11:00 a.m. on October 8, 2020. There is no cost to register and webinars will be recorded for replay.
A new feature to Food Rescue Partnership events will be the announcement of the Quad Cities first-ever Food Rescue Warrior and Member of the Year. Member of the Year will highlight one of the FRP’s existing Members of Food Rescue program, which highlights local establishments’ food rescue efforts. The Food Rescue Warrior is a brand new program to the FRP and will feature a live announcement congratulating one Quad Cities individual who has been nominated by their peers for their exceptional efforts.
Nominations are currently open for local citizens to be recognized for their food rescue efforts.
